About Me

Cheryl has been working independently as a business woman for three decades. With a background in corporate communications and technical writing, Cheryl quickly moved up the ranks in management and was well on her way to a successful corporate career until she and her husband started their family.

Her oldest daughter Tamara was born in 1982 and that began many years of on and off consulting and employment in the technical writing field. After her second daughter Victoria was born, Cheryl knew that she wanted to be both a mommy and a business woman. She says she accidentally fell into full-time consulting after she was laid off months after her second daughter was born. At first it seemed devastating mainly because Cheryl had moved up the corporate ladder and was managing the company’s communication department. She even spent time in the hospital while having her second baby to complete a marketing campaign for one of the company’s newest products. After a nine month maternity leave (which was not uncommon during the 80’s) she returned to work only to be laid off several months later.

What started out as one of her darkest days ended up being the best thing that ever happened to her. It made her realize that the only real freedom was in owning her own business – working for herself. Since her layoff, she has successfully juggled being a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. She has earned hundreds of thousands of dollars working from home and has won awards for business development and training.

Her journey has taken her from owning several service businesses, an interior design firm and now mentoring individuals who want financial success in the health and wellness industry. She specializes in mentoring young adults in the MB30 Movement that’s taking the network marketing industry by storm. She also specializes in working with women who want to create secondary or primary income.

Cheryl founded 50Something! It's Our Turn as a labor of love for every woman over 50 who wants more out of life and is not ready to call it quits. Cheryl believes that for every woman over 50, it is our turn. Our turn for greatness.
